Halifax Busker's Festival
As well as other feats of control and coordination this guy balanced, tossed, caught and rolled this teapot around on a stick for several minutes.

Port Joli beach
Wonderful beach at Port Joli - the shallow waters of the bay allow the water to warm up for enjoyable swimming - seemingly a rarity along the ocean coast.

Delap's Cove Waterfall
Today was a good day for hiking at Delap's Cove - nice variety here: forest, coastline, rocks, waterfall.

Sandy Cove
Lucky for us there was a storm last night which finally brought on some of that famed Nova Scotia fog - it made our visit to Sandy Cove magical as it rolled in and out.

View from Blomidon
Blomidon is a corruption of "blow me down" or so they say.
We had a long hike through the park today and met maybe three other people - quiet place.
Beautiful vistas, rockhounding on the shore and good swimming the area too.

A sunny day at Rainy Cove
I am always captivated and entranced by flocking birds. Such an aesthetic, behavioural and mathematical mystery.

Avondale
The Avon River at low tide - just behind the Avon River Heritage Museum. A beautiful area of rolling hills, curved roads, big tides and friendly people. My father in law, Alex Farquhar, took my wife, Sarah, and I on a tour of family homesteads. Sarah's ancestors came here in 1760 - her great grandfather's cradle is in the museum.

Point Pleasant Park Lamp
The lamp standards in Point Pleasant Park were made in Scotland 100 years ago. I suspect they were originally gas then converted.
