Wheat and Rock

The eastern shore of Nova Scotia, around Taylor Head and Sheet Harbour was settled in the late 1700's by English loyalists leaving after the American Revolution, and also by British soldiers retiring to their land grants.
The farming wasn't great but the fishing and lumbering was.

Perhaps this wheat growing out on the rock had escaped the settlers fields.

Bridge over the East River

Standing on this bridge while a large truck went over was a jolting experience.
Then I read an article detailing needed repairs.
Looks good though.

Clam Dinner

This gull was floating through the waves, looking down, then rose up 5 metres and dove into the water retrieving a large clam which was quickly dropped on the beach and dismantled and consumed.
