Wheat and Rock

The eastern shore of Nova Scotia, around Taylor Head and Sheet Harbour was settled in the late 1700's by English loyalists leaving after the American Revolution, and also by British soldiers retiring to their land grants.
The farming wasn't great but the fishing and lumbering was.

Perhaps this wheat growing out on the rock had escaped the settlers fields.
