finding this glacial pothole, one of the world's largest, in Rockwood CA takes a bit of off trail hiking but, if you don't fall off the cliffs, you are rewarded with a unique view of a landscape surprisingly rough so near to home.

it's said you could stand two buses on end inside it. whoever said that is not talking to me.
